Lieutenant General Vinod Khandare - Principal Adviser
Lieutenant General Vinod G. Khandare, PVSM, AVSM, SM, is a distinguished veteran of the Indian Army, currently serving as the Principal Adviser in the Ministry of Defence. Commissioned into the 14 Garhwal Rifles in 1979, he has had an illustrious career spanning nearly four decades, with operational experience in Siachen, Jammu & Kashmir, Sikkim, and the Northeast. He has held key positions, including Director General of the Defence Intelligence Agency, Deputy Chief in the Integrated Defence Staff, and Military Advisor to the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS). Now, as Principal Adviser, he plays a pivotal role in shaping India’s defense policy, international military cooperation, and strategic security frameworks.
