Gen. Anil Chauhan – CDS

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, a distinguished IAS officer from the 1989 Kerala cadre, has been serving as India’s Defence Secretary since November 1, 2024. Prior to this, he held the position of Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) from May 2023 to October 2024 and earlier served as Secretary of Animal Husbandry and Dairying between September 2022 and April 2023. Singh’s extensive experience in both central and state governments has been instrumental in shaping India’s defense and industrial policies.
