Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, PVSM, AVSM, is the 28th Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) of the Indian Air Force (IAF). Commissioned into the fighter pilot stream in 1984, he has played a key role in modernizing the IAF with a focus on air combat capabilities, indigenous technology, and multilateral defense cooperation. With over 5,000 flying hours, he is a Qualified Flying Instructor and an Experimental Test Pilot, having led the MiG-29 Upgrade Project in Russia and contributed to the flight testing of the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas. His leadership in large-scale exercises like Tarang Shakti reflects his strategic vision for India’s air power.
