Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi - CNS

Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM, is the 26th Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy, bringing nearly four decades of distinguished service in maritime security, strategic operations, and defense leadership. An alumnus of Sainik School Rewa and the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, he has specialized in communication and electronic warfare and has commanded key Indian Naval Ships, including INS Vinash, Kirch, and Trishul. Before assuming command as Navy Chief, he served as Vice Chief of the Naval Staff and Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening India’s blue-water naval capabilities and maritime security policies. A recipient of the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Nau Sena Medal, Admiral Tripathi is known for his contributions to modernizing India’s naval forces and enhancing strategic maritime collaborations.
